So, you’ve spotted one in the wild.
A typo that ruins a billboard, a button that goes nowhere, or
packaging that looks like it survived a design committee cage match.
We love it already. This is your chance to immortalize bad design in
our virtual gallery of “what not to do.” Whether it’s hilarious,
tragic, or just plain confusing, send it our way and we might feature
it (with credit, of course).
Submission Guidelines
(a.k.a. “Don’t Be That Designer”)
-
We keep it fun, but we also keep it fair. Here’s how to
make sure your submission gets featured and not filtered:
-
Keep it educational. The best fails teach a lesson,
show us what went wrong and why it matters.
-
Use original or public images. Upload your own photo,
or share one you have permission to use. No random Pinterest snags,
please.
-
Add context. A quick note about where you found it or
why it fails helps our readers learn from the mishap.
-
No personal attacks. We critique designs, not
designers. The goal is learning through laughter, not roasting
someone’s portfolio.
-
Blur or omit.Remove logos/names if the image calls out
a small business or individual. (Big brands are ok, they can take
the heat.)
