About Us

Welcome to Color in Motion, a blog dedicated to the exploration of the role of color in film and television. Created by Rick Saquet, a part-time art student at Bristol Community College, full-time film fan, and recent father, this blog looks at how the use of color shapes the stories we love. From big-budget blockbusters to indie films, Rick investigates how color affects mood, story, and characters in the films you love.

Based in New Bedford, MA, Rick is a bartender by night and a film lover by day. With a focus on color theory and its impact on filmmaking, Rick brings his personal perspective and experience as a student to every post.

At Color in Motion, you’ll find posts that cover everything from the symbolism of color in scenes to how color trends in film are changing over time. Whether you’re a casual viewer or a serious film buff, this blog offers a deeper look at how color plays a key role in shaping the films and shows we love.
